Roethlisberger Reaction

Category: Pro SportsTim @ 4:38 am

In a follow-up to a post from last week, apparently some Pittsburgh Steelers fans have chosen to show their lack of intelligence. The woman who was cited for causing the motorcycle accident where Roethlisberger was injured has been the target of fan attacks.

Here is an excerpt from the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review:

One blogger, who posted Fleishman’s home address and telephone number, was typical of the merciless Internet attackers.

“She had Maine license plates. … freaking New England fan … I don’t think she will be getting the key to the city any time soon.”

Another blogger wrote “time for some ‘tom’s diner’ justice” in reference to the two fans who were convicted of involuntary manslaughter for fatally beating a man in the restroom of Tom’s Diner in Dormont following a Steelers victory on Christmas Eve 2002.

Never mind the fact that Roethlisberger was riding without a license or helmet. I guess the reported $40 million contract he recently signed left him a little strapped for cash. Perhaps he was too busy with all the off-season activities to go to the DMV or his local Wal-Mart.

This woman has to live with the image of striking a motorcycle and seeing Roethlisberger’s face hit her windshield. If that’s not torment enough, she now has to put up with low-brow, Neolithic Steeler Fan.

Can we please remember, accidents happen, event to star quarterbacks.
