Rosie O’Donnell and Donald Trump, the Battle Continues

Category: EntertainmentTim @ 3:12 pm

As the war of words between Rosie O’Donnell and Donald Trump continues into the new year, new voices are joining in the fight. First up, Barbara Walters:

Walters, creator of ABC’s “The View,” said Wednesday on the daytime chat show that she never told Trump she didn’t want O’Donnell on the show, as he has claimed. “Nothing could be further from the truth,” she said.

“She has brought a new vitality to this show and the ratings prove it,” Walters said of O’Donnell, who is on vacation this week. When she returns, Walters said, “We will all welcome her back with open arms.”

Not to let her father stand alone, Donald’s daughter Ivanka steps in:

In an appearance on NBC’s “Today” to promote “The Apprentice,” which starts its new season Sunday, the first questions were about Trump’s nasty feud with O’Donnell, the outspoken moderator of “The View.” Ivanka, who will join her father in the “Apprentice” boardroom this season, said O’Donnell “instigated” the exchange and had been “bullying people for a long time.”

“I think it was unfair, it was uncalled for and, quite frankly, there was no reason for it,” Ivanka said of O’Donnell’s remarks, which include saying The Donald has been “bankrupt so many times.”

I feel like we are all getting caught-up in a really bad reality show. Are we getting tired of this yet?
