Senator John McCain Appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno Last Night

Category: 2008 Election, Humor, Politics, VideoTim @ 6:38 am

Senator John McCain on the Tonight Show last night answered some questions for Jay Leno about Sarah Palin, Joe the Plumber, the campaign, and his future.

Leno: “How have you been doing?”

McCain: “Well, I’ve been sleeping like a baby. I sleep two hours, wake up, and cry. Sleep two hours, wake up, and cry.”

Here are all three parts of the interview:

This interview was a nice tie-in with Veteran’s Day and reminds me just how good McCain can be with the media. This truly seems to be his home.

For those of you who missed last night’s concession speech by Senator John McCain, you missed something special.

I love the way our system works. We divide over the issues then unite behind the winner. Good luck Senator and may you still have a hand in the promise of change.

SNL: Ratings are In - Sarah Palin tops John McCain in Saturday Night Live Appearence

Category: 2008 Election, Entertainment, PoliticsTim @ 10:52 am

The Saturday Night Live battle for ratings supremacy is over and the winner is Governor Sarah Palin. Palin’s appearance on SNL topped that of running-mate Senator John McCain’s.

McCain’s appearance drew a rough estimate of 12 million viewers Saturday night, while Palin’s appearance was watched by more than 15 million when she appeared on Oct. 18.

In the end, both scored well, but Palin came out on top. You can watch them both here by using the SNL topic link and judge for yourself.

SNL: Saturday Night Live Backstage with John and Cindy McCain

Category: 2008 Election, Humor, VideoTim @ 9:04 am

This clip was not part of the show, but was posted on the SNL web site. John McCain does Barbra Streisand…don’t quit your day job Senator! Pardon the Starbucks commercial, SNL has finally figured out they need to make money while they can on this stuff.

I just love it when the candidates don’t take themselves too seriously.

John McCain stuck around on Saturday Night Live last night to do SNL Weekend Update and had another solid performance.

As Seth Meyers said, “How is this going to help you win an election?” Not sure it will have any impact, but it is fun to watch!

Will Ferrell does an awesome George Bush on Saturday Night Live. “I’m out of here in a few months so screw it.”

Once again, Saturday Night Live cashes in from the McCain/Palin campaign.
