SNL: Ratings are In - Sarah Palin tops John McCain in Saturday Night Live Appearence

Category: 2008 Election, Entertainment, PoliticsTim @ 10:52 am

The Saturday Night Live battle for ratings supremacy is over and the winner is Governor Sarah Palin. Palin’s appearance on SNL topped that of running-mate Senator John McCain’s.

McCain’s appearance drew a rough estimate of 12 million viewers Saturday night, while Palin’s appearance was watched by more than 15 million when she appeared on Oct. 18.

In the end, both scored well, but Palin came out on top. You can watch them both here by using the SNL topic link and judge for yourself.

SNL: Saturday Night Live Backstage with John and Cindy McCain

Category: 2008 Election, Humor, VideoTim @ 9:04 am

This clip was not part of the show, but was posted on the SNL web site. John McCain does Barbra Streisand…don’t quit your day job Senator! Pardon the Starbucks commercial, SNL has finally figured out they need to make money while they can on this stuff.

I just love it when the candidates don’t take themselves too seriously.

Category: 2008 Election, Humor, VideoTim @ 8:57 am

John McCain stuck around on Saturday Night Live last night to do SNL Weekend Update and had another solid performance.

As Seth Meyers said, “How is this going to help you win an election?” Not sure it will have any impact, but it is fun to watch!

SNL: Senator Biden and Congressman John Murtha Say Crazy Things in Johnstown, PA

Category: 2008 Election, Humor, Politics, VideoTim @ 7:43 am

Saturday Night Live keeps on turning out the video in an attempt to keep their ratings high. This one appears to be an attempt and equal time for the Democratic Party’s leading gaff machine, Senator Joe Biden.

I think we can all agree, Joe Biden is no Sarah Palin.

Category: 2008 Election, Humor, Politics, VideoTim @ 9:09 am

I tried to post this the Monday, but the site was slammed. Here is the Palin Rap from Saturday Night Live (SNL) this past weekend. The moose rocks!

SNL sure loves Sarah Palin. Their ratings have never been better. Too bad the rest of the show was awful.

The Real Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live

Category: 2008 Election, Politics, VideoTim @ 7:38 am

In case you missed it, the real Governor Sarah Palin appeared on Saturday Night Live this weekend with Tina Fay. Pretty funny stuff.

Could someone tell Alec Baldwin to stop reading his lines and make some eye contact! He’s supposed to be the professional here.
